Words from the Founder and CEO:
********************************************************************************
Hello,

I hope all is well personally and professionally.

The Hip-Hop Therapy Project, LLC has reached a new milestone - we have been successfully up and
running for over three years - sharing with the world on how to use Hip-Hop music and culture in
therapeutic and psycho-educational interventions with those who embrace and are most affected by Hip-
Hop.  Throughout the past three years we have successfully facilitated over 150 workshops, intervened
and worked with over 200 clients, and trained over 2000 helping professionals from all over the world.
Now we are taking our work and services to the next level by relocating to Los Angeles, CA this March
2007.  The HHTP and the Hip-Hop Therapist™ have been invited to participate in many  opportunities on
the West Coast that could not get passed up.  We will be expanding in our practice of coaching and
training other professionals in their practice of using Hip-Hop music and culture with their clients.  Also,
building our practice by continuing our work with high risk youth and young adults in the schools, group
homes, and correctional facilities.  We believe that the Los Angeles community provides a great foundation
for clinical work due to its multicultural framework, mutuality in creativity, diverse learning environments,
and the complexities of its social ills in its urban landscape.  The relocation will be made in phases - with
the first starting this past February 2007.  The final phase will take place this summer in August 2007.

The HHTP and the Hip-Hop Therapist™ fully appreciates all of the love, support, and consideration given
by the good people and communities in the Greater Milwaukee and Chicagoland areas.  We will continue
to  maintain a Milwaukee office for our continued work in the Midwest region.  Furthermore, since we
were birthed in the Midwest - this area will always be our home and we will represent our home to the
fullest.  And as we embark on this new endeavor, I only hope and pray for your continued support and
prayers.  Please make sure that you take the time out to come by and see us before we leave, and if you
are ever on the West Coast make sure you stop and Holla (by appointment only of course) at our new
location (s):

About the HHTP:
Established in 2004, the HHTP is social and educational wellness center that utilizes Hip-Hop music and
culture, along with psychotherapeutic and psych-educational concepts, to serve as a culturally sensitive
catalyst for personal and collective change for those who embrace, embody, enjoy, and are most affected
by Hip-Hop.  The HHTP also serves as a resource for human service agencies, educational institutions,
communities, and individual helping professionals that seek to use Hip-Hop to reach out and engage
youth and young adult populations that they service.

Something New @ The Hip-Hop Therapy Project, LLC:
****************************************************************
The Hip-Hop Therapy Project, LLC is getting into the travel business.  For many years I have been
playing with the idea of how to bring the value of travel into my practice.  Many clinicians are aware that a
very important part of ones healing can derive from one being able to change his or her environment.  What
better way to change ones environment than by having the experience of travel.  Also, by traveling from
one environment to the next one can be inspired to create his or her own positive environment, which
promotes wellness and overall wellbeing.

So the Hip-Hop Therapy Project, LLC (HHTP) would like to introduce
"Hip-Hop Therapy Travel
Group"
.  Yes, Yes Yall!  It is with great respect and knowledge of the foundation of Hip-Hop that the
HHTP is taking Hip-Hop to another level and another industry, the 7 trillion dollar travel industry.
Hip-
Hop Therapy Travel Group
is a online travel source that brings together the arts and cultures of Hip-Hop
and Psychotherapy.  Bringing the two together promotes pro-social attitudes, behaviors, relationships,
sense of community, emotional and spiritual wellness.  As the Hip-Hop Therapist™, one of ways that I
facilitate my practice is by encouraging the exploration of creating a change in ones environment.  Often we
lead busy lives that require us to take care of others.  In our efforts to take care of others we often let our
needs fall by the wayside.  Well it is about time for us to take care of ourselves.  So let's

Lyrics of the Month:
********************************************************************************

At the HHTP, we review and discuss Hip-Hop/RAP music lyrics as it relates to the populations
we work with in our psycho-educational and therapeutic services.  The lyrics are used to engage
the participants in talking about tough issues as it relates to their own social, emotional, cultural,
and environmental reality.  The lyrics are chosen both by the clients and the helping
professional, and are found to have a significant message and/or meaning to them.

This month’s lyrics are titled
“Like A Boy” by Ciara.  This song is featured on Ciara's new CD
“The Evolution" (2006).  Ciara continuously shows that she is a true talent and can express
herself creatively through her music.  Ciara is truly loved by those who come through the doors
of the HHTP.  She is described by the youth as keeping it real in a way they can relate to, in
particular the song of the month "Like a Boy".  Her music continuously evokes emotion
amongst our participants and provides a great foundation for psychotherapeutic and psycho-
educational work.  Check out
"Like a Boy" and tell us what you think!
