| My Mission: My Mission as the Hip-Hop TherapistTM is to use Hip-Hop music and culture to Engage, Educate, Understand, Heal, and Unite those who are most affected by, enjoy, embrace, embody, and that are most affected by Hip-Hop. |
| My Vision: My Vision is that WE all will become more helpful, supportive, nurturing, conscious, and aware of all of our similarities, experiences, as well as our differences in all of our cultural environments - to the point of recognizing that everyone has a story to tell and that that story needs to be shared. Also, that each story is to be listened to with heartfelt empathy and emotion, which will lead to us all accepting, appreciating, respecting, and protecting one another. |

This approach to practice is especially highly effective when it comes to working with the high- risk populations. It gives meaning to their story, as well as an insight that fosters new ways of thinking, methodologies for learning, practice, competence, relations, and outcomes for helping professionals- hence - Hip-Hop Therapy ®. Ms. Tillie-Allen has thoroughly researched the validity of the approach Hip-Hop Therapy ®. She has developed the approach so now that it is a licensable product and trains other helping professionals and agencies on how to use the approach. Because of the diversity and complexities of Hip-Hop's constituents, culture, and music - the approach of Hip-Hop Therapy ® has taken on different meanings, but has remained very inclusive of the culture, ideals, innovations, and people of Hip-Hop. Her current research efforts involve exploring Hip-Hop Therapy ® with the old school and new school generations of Hip-Hop.
